Thanks to its unique composition, flaxseed can be considered a nutraceutical, i.e. a product that heals the human body. Scientists from all over the world came to this conclusion, summarizing the results of flaxseed research in laboratories around the world.

Flaxseed is the strongest anti-parasitic product. Decoction of flax seed has a destructive effect on all types of helminths, except roundworms. He also does not leave fungi, hepatitis viruses alive. If you add 1-2% of the seed weight of flower buds and cloves to flax seed when preparing the decoction, roundworms will also be killed. Adding sugar to the decoction of flax seeds makes it unable to destroy candida.

In traditional medicine, a compress made from flax seeds is popular. Ground flaxseed is placed in a gauze bag, which is dipped in hot water for about 10 minutes, and then applied hot to the sore spot and kept until it cools down. In this way, toothache, sciatica and rheumatism, facial neuralgia, abdominal pain, biliary colic, bladder and kidney diseases are treated. Flax seed powder is used for burns and skin diseases. Linseed porridge is used in the treatment of wounds, bruises, cracks, boils, etc. Flaxseed, boiled in milk, was used as a compress for the treatment of heel spurs. Linseed mucus is the best enveloping, emollient and anti-inflammatory effect for diseases of the digestive tract and respiratory tract. This is the best enterosorbent, hemosorbent, immunomodulator.  This is the best form that is stored for a long time and can be used when adding to cereals, salads, soups, cottage cheese, yogurt and other food products. The daily rate of consumption of flax seeds by a person is approximately 25 g, and this is one handful of seeds, which provides the population with a complete vitaminized diet and the best means for the prevention of any disease.
Flaxseed is one of the richest sources of lignans, which have an anti-carcinogenic effect, is an anti-allergen, and also has a powerful antioxidant effect. Flax seeds are rich in minerals, especially rich in potassium, which they contain approximately 7 times more than in bananas in terms of dry weight. Fat-soluble tocopherol, i.e. vitamin E is represented in flaxseed mainly by gamma-tocopherol, which is a natural bioantioxidant. Flaxseeds surpass soybeans in the amount of oil by almost 2 times and in the content of the most biologically active fatty acids in it by 35%, in the content of carbohydrates in it - by 1.7 times. These comparative data convincingly reflect the food superiority of flax over soy, which prompted countries to replace soy from the food sphere and replace it with flax. The needs of the Earth's population in flax seeds are continuously growing and reveal the prospects for the further development of flax growing and providing people with food with an increased content of biologically active flax protein. Flax is one of the oldest cultivated plants. Ego seeds were used as food even in the Stone Age. Even in the Bible there is a mention that the Israelites used linseed to bake bread and obtain oil. Avicenna, Hippocrates wrote about the healing properties of flax seeds. Now linseed is starting to play an increasingly important role in world food production. The movement for the use of natural food products without preservatives, flavor additives, dyes, etc., which began in the 1960s, in the 1980s came to recognize the need to use flaxseed as a healthy product. The composition of flaxseed is rich in proteins, fats, gluten and fiber. Proteins are rich in essential amino acids. Proteins are albumin and globulin. Globulins with a high molecular weight (58-66%) predominate. Albumins account for 20-42%. The nutritional value of protein from flax seeds is estimated at 92 units (casein is taken as 100).   Fats. Flaxseed is rich in fats (41%), so it is very valuable. The uniqueness of linseed oil lies in its very high content of polyunsaturated alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). ALA is an irreplaceable fatty acid in the human diet, contributes to the implementation of important biological functions in the human body, is a part of almost all cell membranes, participates in the regeneration of the cardiovascular system of the human body, and in the growth and development of the brain. Today, the high content of ALA in the human diet contributes to an increase in blood viscosity, has vasodilating properties and has anti-stress and anti-arrhythmic effects. Thus, the introduction of linseed or linseed oil into the diet becomes vital. Microfibers (fiber) are plant cell membranes and consist of polysaccharides, as well as starch, which are almost indigestible in the human body. Fiber promotes bowel function, reduces atherosclerosis and lipoedema deposits.

Our ancestors obtained linseed oil from flaxseed, which they used both for cooking and for the treatment of various diseases. In ancient Eastern medicine, flax seeds were used as medicines with dissolving, cleansing and emollient properties. According to Avicenna's descriptions, roasted flaxseed helps to get rid of a cough accompanied by the release of a large amount of sputum, and ulcers of the bladder and kidneys. A decoction of flaxseed in an enema with rose oil is very useful for ulcerative colitis, and in combination with natural soda and figs, it is a good medicinal bandage for freckles and acne.

In folk medicine, flaxseed is prescribed for coughs as an expectorant and antitussive. They are widely used as a laxative for constipation, especially for chronic colitis. To do this, grind 2 teaspoons of seeds and dilute with one glass of boiling water. Use 100-150 ml 2-3 times a day. You can also boil 2 teaspoons of flax seeds in 300 ml of water, insist for 10 minutes, shake vigorously, then strain and take 100 ml on an empty stomach with intestinal atony. With chronic constipation, it is also recommended to take 1 glass of unfiltered flax seed infusion (1 teaspoon per glass of boiling water) every day at night. Infusions and decoctions must always be fresh.   Flax seeds are added to the diabetes remedy, which includes bean pods, blueberry leaves and oat straw in equal measure. Pour 3 tablespoons of the crushed mixture with 3 glasses of hot water, boil over low heat for 15 minutes, then cool and strain. Take the infusion of half a glass 3 times a day until the dryness in the mouth and thirst disappear. This same infusion is prescribed for inflammation of the bladder. A decoction of flax seeds removes radionuclides, toxins, and other poisonous substances.
