Package: 50 g.

Rosemary is an evergreen plant with blue flowers, which is common in the Mediterranean countries. Even the ancient Greeks appreciated the beneficial properties of dried rosemary and considered this plant sacred. And the Romans claimed that rosemary belonged to the goddess of love. Thanks to its specific aroma, which resembles a mixture of pine and lemon, this spice is successfully used in cooking. Real gourmets have not neglected this seasoning and add it to their dishes in both fresh and dried form.

This seasoning is simply wonderfully suitable for flavoring various meat, potato, and salad dishes. No less popular are drinks flavored with rosemary, for example, tea, tincture or wine. To give a special accent to soups, this spice is used in moderate quantities. In general, when adding rosemary to food, you should follow the same rules as when "working" with a bay leaf: if you overdo it, the dish will acquire an undesirable bitter aftertaste.

Pasta products are often flavored with dried rosemary and added to traditional Italian flatbreads. It is also used in desserts, adding a small amount of spice to fruit. The calorie content of dried rosemary is 331 kcal per hundred grams.

The benefits of dried rosemary

The benefits of dried rosemary are beyond doubt, because this plant is the richest source of vitamin B6, potassium, magnesium and copper. Despite the fact that this spice contains quite a lot of saturated fat, it can "boast" of a minimal content of harmful cholesterol.

In the conditions of large gardens, the use of this spice is simply irreplaceable, due to the fact that rosemary fights stress, depression and daytime sleepiness. The use of a very small amount of rosemary in food has a beneficial effect on the general condition of the body, improving digestion and stimulating blood circulation.

The use of dried rosemary is also known as an excellent antiseptic, which protects us from colds and flu, and also promotes cell renewal.

Cosmetologists advise to "make friends" with this plant, because rosemary brings great benefits to female beauty, as it helps preserve youth until old age. And also, they say that a woman, from whom the aroma of rosemary emanates, is able to attract the attention of men.

Harm of dried rosemary

Moderation and caution should be observed when using rosemary, as high doses of this spice are contraindicated during pregnancy. The harm of dried rosemary can also affect those who suffer from hypertension, neurosis, epilepsy attacks, as well as other neurological diseases.
