Cream Terbicort-Total is a cream used to treat fungal infections and dermatitis. It kills and inhibits the growth of fungi and stops the spread of infection. It also blocks the production of certain chemical reactions that lead to red, swollen, and itchy skin.
For dermatitis
Dermatitis refers to inflammation of the skin. Terbicort-Total cream is effective in skin conditions with inflammation and irritation, such as dermatitis. It works by reducing the effects of chemicals in the body that cause skin inflammation. The cream reduces redness, rash, pain or itching caused by the skin's reaction to an irritant. When used correctly, it is a safe and effective remedy.
For fungal skin infections
Terbicort-Total cream is used for skin infections caused by fungi. These include infections such as athlete's foot, ringworm, vaginal thrush and sweat rashes. This cream helps to get rid of the infection and relieve the symptoms. At the same time, it also blocks the release of chemicals that cause symptoms like itching, redness, and swelling. Therefore, this agent relieves the inflammation caused by these infections.
Indications:
fungal infections of the skin and nails caused by dermatophytes or Candida fungi sensitive to miconazole,
dermatitis,
superinfections caused by gram-positive bacteria.
Contraindications
Increased sensitivity to active substance or any other components of the product.
Skin diseases caused by herpes viruses.
Composition
Ofloxacin (0.75%) + Clobetasol (0.05%) + Miconazole (2%) + Terbinafine (1%) + Dexpanthenol (0.05%)

Main physicochemical properties: uniform white cream.
Simultaneous use of the product with other topical forms of the product is not recommended.
Features application
It is necessary to avoid getting the product into the eyes and open wounds.
In the event of local reactions or the absence of clinical manifestations of the effectiveness of the treatment within 4 weeks, the use of the product should be stopped and an additional examination should be performed.
Terbicort-Total cream should be used with caution in patients with diabetes with impaired microcirculation.
If the nails are affected, it is recommended to cut them as short as possible.
In it is recommended to pay special attention to the treatment of the interdigital spaces when the feet are affected. It is recommended to wear loose, well-ventilated shoes and change socks at least once a day.
Propylene glycol may cause skin irritation.
Cetostearyl alcohol may cause local skin reactions (e.g., contact dermatitis).
Ability to affect the speed of reaction when driving vehicles or other mechanisms
Application of the cream may cause local reactions such as burning, irritation, itching, and redness immediately after application. However, these side effects are temporary and usually go away on their own. Tell your doctor if they last for a long time. Avoid direct contact of the cream or ointment with the eyes. In case of accidental contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water and seek medical attention. Do not cover the treated area with airtight dressings, such as bandages, unless prescribed by your doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
It is not known whether miconazole passes into breast milk. If it is necessary to use the product, it is recommended to stop breastfeeding.
In case of breastfeeding, the product should not be applied to the mammary glands.
How to use and doses
Terbicort Total cream should be applied locally.
Fungal infections of the skin: Apply Terbicort Total cream to the affected skin areas 2 times a day (morning and evening) and rub in until completely absorbed, covering a small area the area around the lesion. Places that get wet in the area of the folds (between the fingers, inguinal folds) should be washed and dried with a gauze napkin before using the medicine.
The course depends on the effectiveness and results of mycological tests and is from 1 to 6 weeks. The average duration of candidomycosis of the skin is 1–3 weeks, infections caused by dermatophytes are 3–4 weeks, more prolonged infections are 5–6 weeks.
The use of Terbicort Total Cream should be continued for at least 1 week after the disappearance of clinical symptoms of the disease.
Fungal infections of nails: after preliminary exfoliation of the affected nail plate, apply Terbicort-Total Cream in a thin layer to the nail bed 1–2 times a day with the subsequent application of an occlusive dressing. Treatment should be continued for at least 3 months until the final formation of a new nail.
Depending on the type and severity of the disease, the doctor may prescribe an individual dosage regimen and method of using the product.
Overdose
Possible skin irritation, which usually disappears after discontinuation of the drug. In case of accidental ingestion of a large amount of the product, gastric emptying is recommended.
Terbicort-Total cream is intended for external application only.
Side reactions
The following side reactions may occur:
from the immune system: hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylactic reactions, angioedema,
from the skin and subcutaneous tissue: rash, itching, erythema, dry skin, urticaria, contact dermatitis, reactions at the application site, including skin irritation, hyperemia, burning, tingling.
