Indications
fungal infections of the skin and nails caused by dermatophytes or Candida fungi sensitive to miconazole,
superinfections caused by gram-positive bacteria.
Contraindications
Increased sensitivity to active substance or any other components of the product.
Skin diseases caused by herpes viruses.
Composition
active substance: miconazole,
1 g of cream contains miconazole nitrate 20 mg,
excipients: propylene glycol, macrogol 400, poloxamer, macrogol cetostearyl ether, cetostearyl alcohol.
Form
Cream.
Main physico-chemical properties: uniform white cream.
Simultaneous use of the product with other topical forms of products is not recommended.
Particulars of use
The product should be avoided in the eyes and on open wounds.
If local reactions appear or are absent clinical manifestations of the effectiveness of the treatment within 4 weeks, the use of the product should be stopped and an additional examination should be performed.
Micogel cream should be used with caution in patients with diabetes with impaired microcirculation.
If the nails are affected, it is recommended to cut them as short as possible.
If the feet are affected, it is recommended to pay special attention to the treatment of the interdigital spaces. It is recommended to wear loose, well-ventilated shoes and change socks at least once a day.
Propylene glycol can cause skin irritation.
Cetostearyl alcohol can cause local skin reactions (for example, contact dermatitis).
Ability to affect the speed of reaction when driving vehicles or other mechanisms
Mycogel cream does not affect the speed of reactions when driving vehicles or other mechanisms.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding breast
Careful use of the product during pregnancy is possible after consultation with a doctor.
It is not known whether miconazole penetrates into breast milk. If it is necessary to use the product, it is recommended to stop breastfeeding.
In case of breastfeeding, the product should not be applied to the mammary glands.
Method of use and dosage
Mycogel cream should be applied locally.
Fungal skin infections: apply Mykogel cream to the affected skin areas 2 times a day (morning and evening) and rub in until completely absorbed, covering a small area the area around the lesion. Places that get wet in the area of the folds (between the fingers, inguinal folds) should be washed and dried with a gauze napkin before using the medicine.
The course depends on the effectiveness and results of mycological tests and is from 1 to 6 weeks. The average duration of candidomycosis of the skin is 1–3 weeks, infections caused by dermatophytes are 3–4 weeks, longer infections are 5–6 weeks.
The use of Kreme Mykogel should be continued for at least 1 week after the disappearance of clinical symptoms of the disease.
Fungal infections of the nails: after peeling off the affected nail plate, apply a thin layer of Kreme Mykogel to the nail bed 1-2 times a day with subsequent application of an occlusive bandage. Treatment should be continued for at least 3 months until the final formation of a new nail.
Depending on the type and severity of the disease, the doctor may prescribe an individual dosage regimen and method of using the product.
Overdose
Possible skin irritation, which usually disappears after discontinuation of the drug. In case of accidental ingestion of a large amount of the product, it is recommended to empty the stomach.
Mycogel cream is intended for external application only.
Side reactions
The development of the following side reactions is possible:
from the immune system: hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylactic reactions, angioedema,
from the skin and subcutaneous tissue: rash, itching, erythema, dry skin, urticaria, contact dermatitis, reactions at the application site, including skin irritation, hyperemia, burning, tingling.
