Licorice/Licorice (Glycerrhiza Glabra) shows antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, expectorant and a calming effect, so it is useful for irritated bronchioles.
Licorice root is used for cough (especially dry), hoarseness, angina and asthma. One of the most wonderful properties of Licorice root is the ability to enhance the healing effect of other plants. Tulasi, sacred basil (Ocium Sanctum) has significant antibacterial and insecticidal properties.
