In the summer, it is best consumed with kefir or yogurt, in the spring - with brown sugar, and in the winter - with ginger.

In Ayurvedic canons, it is said that haritaka can get rid of a hundred ailments. It is believed that there are seven types of haritaka - these are seven drops of nectar that fell to Earth from the mouth of Vishnu (Vsevyshnego). Another text says that the Haritaka forest grew on the site of the love games of Varuna (god of water) and Bhuma (goddess of the Earth).
