Mechanism of action
Imupsora acts on the key pathogenetic mechanisms of the development of psoriasis in five different ways.
The first includes inhibition of T-cell activation by inhibiting molecules involved in the formation of the immunological synapse.
Secondly, this is the principle of reducing pathogenic T-cells. It is achieved with the help of a targeted action on molecules specifically expressed due to the activation of T cells, such as the interleukin-2 receptor (which has a high affinity) or CD4. The third approach is based on inhibiting the recruitment of leukocytes to the area of ​​inflamed skin, for example, inhibiting key adhesion molecules. The fourth principle consists in the functional inhibition of key inflammatory cytokinesis. Perhaps the most important example is the tumor necrosis factor (TNF-), the functioning of which is a specific target for Tinospora cordifolia. In conclusion, we note that it is possible that T-helper 1 (Th1) cells dominate (predominate) cells of type T-helper 1 (Th1), suppressing cells of type T-helpers 2 (Th2), thus facilitating the course of psoriasis. The Ayurvedic approach to the treatment of psoriasis is flexible and well-balanced, mixing systemic immunomodulation with a local reduction in the intensity of damage.
