Emblica (lat. Emblica officinalis, syn. Phyllanthus emblica) is a fruit tree that belongs to the genus Phyllanthus and to the llantaceae family. The plant has many other names, such as Amla, Amalaki, Myrobalan gray, Indian gooseberry, Phyllanthus emblica.

The fruits have a diuretic (diuretic) effect and are a mild laxative. To enhance the diuretic effect of phyllanthus emblica, its juice should be mixed with raisins and honey. They have a beneficial effect on all organs of the gastrointestinal tract. Fruit juice is an excellent tonic. Recent chemical studies have shown the presence of large amounts of vitamin C in amla. This vitamin is the main antioxidant in our body, as it ensures redox balance in internal environments at the cellular level. In addition, ascorbic acid promotes the production of antibodies, assimilation of iron, treatment of scurvy.

There is also a lot of iron in fruits. This mineral element is the most important component of hemoglobin - a protein that carries oxygen in the body.

The main useful properties of emblic are as follows:

stimulation of hematopoiesis (synthesis of erythropoietin and hemoglobin). Therefore, fruits are very useful for anemia,
strengthening of bones, teeth,
improvement of skin, hair and nails,
stimulation of insulin production and normalization of blood sugar level. Emblica is useful for diabetes type II (insulin-dependent),
lowering blood pressure (the components of the fruit have a hypotensive effect),
Emblica contains a lot of antioxidants that bind free radicals and thereby prevent the body from aging,
strengthening vision, prevention of cataracts (again, due to the high concentration of antioxidants),
lacprophylaxis and treatment of atherosclerosis,
strengthening immunity,
improving blood composition,
treatment of diseases of the liver, spleen, heart, lungs,
Emblica has antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal properties,
components of the fruits have an anti-inflammatory effect.
Fruits can be consumed both fresh and added to various dessert dishes and made into jam. The caloric content of the fruits is so low that they will not put extra kilograms on a person's waist.

Emblica is sometimes mentioned in Ayurvedic medical literature, in particular in the description of the Ayurvedic drug "chavanprash" and some other drugs used to strengthen and clean hair and treat functional vision disorders.

The bark also has curative properties. (astringent) and flowers (laxative) of the plant.

The seeds make a tincture that is used in the treatment of infectious eye diseases, for example, conjunctivitis. They are also pounded into powder, the resulting mass is mixed with red sandalwood, and used as an antiemetic, as well as for seasickness. Crushed seeds are also mixed with vegetable or butter oil, and the obtained mass is used to treat scabies by applying it all over the body.

In recent years, Emblica has begun to enjoy increasing demand on the world market. Some large companies create large plantations of this plant, expecting to make huge profits. expectations may come true, as recent clinical trials show great prospects for the commercial cultivation of this unusual plant.

Amla is one of the richest sources of vitamin C in nature. Amla is a strong regenerator and contains 30 times more vitamin C than an orange.

Amla is also known as "Indian gooseberry" or "amalaki". It is one of the main components of Chavanprash, which supports a normal immune system, and Triphala, which supports the normal functioning of the digestive system.

Amla is one of the most powerful rejuvenating plants in Ayurvedic medicine.

Amla has a positive effect on various organs and systems:

it is used for anemia, it stimulates the synthesis of hemoglobin.

it cleanses the liver and blood,

strengthens bones and teeth,

actively promotes hair growth. Stops hair loss and premature graying.

effective for diabetes - lowers and regulates sugar and cholesterol levels,

lowers blood pressure, strengthens the vascular wall,

has a mild diuretic effect,

very strong anti-inflammatory agent,
