Primary dysmenorrhea is more often observed in adolescence, during the period of the onset of the menstrual cycle, and its prevalence in this group is about 30-50%. Primary dysmenorrhea is characterized by painful menstruation without structural pathological changes in the genitals. Spasmodic pain is usually observed a few hours before or simultaneously with the onset of menstruation and can last from a few hours to 2-3 days. At first, the pain is localized in the suprapubic region, then it can spread to the lower back, sacrum, lower abdomen. The pain is usually sharp, colic-like, sometimes accompanied by nausea, vomiting, increased irritability, headache, neuralgia, constipation or diarrhea.
Premenstrual syndrome consists of a complex of various physical, autonomic and emotional symptoms that occur a few days or a week before menstruation. During this period, women may experience mood deterioration, increased excitability, irritability, frequent migraine-like headaches, discomfort or soreness in the breast area, swelling, bloating, constipation. Naturally, such a condition adversely affects a woman's daily life.
For the treatment of dysmenorrhea and premenstrual syndrome, various drugs are used (for example, analgesics, antispasmodics), in addition, hormonal drugs are often prescribed, which in some cases lead to the development of side effects.
The combined preparation IV KER of plant origin does not contain hormones. The herbal ingredients included in its composition have an anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic effect in diseases of the female genital organs.
Sacara india (ashoka) extract, which is part of the IV KER preparation, promotes the regeneration of the endometrium and has a stimulating effect on the secretory function of the ovaries, as well as an anti-inflammatory effect. The extract of Symplocos racemosa (dodra) promotes the normalization of the menstrual cycle. The extract of Boerhaavia diffusa (purnarnava) has a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect, helps to increase the level of hemoglobin in the blood. The extract of Asparagus racemosus (shatavar) contains saponins, which have an antispasmodic effect on the muscles of the uterus, as well as a depressing effect on labor and lactation. Aloe vera extract (cucumber) promotes the normalization of the disturbed menstrual cycle. Cyperus rotundus extract (must) has a beneficial effect on anemia, general weakness, often accompanying menstrual cycle disorders. The extract of Symplocos racemosa (dodra) is used for menorrhagia and other disorders of the menstrual cycle. The extract of Bombax malarabicum is also used for menorrhagia, it has a beneficial stimulating effect on the contractile function of the uterus. Adhatoda vasica extract is used for postpartum bleeding, it has a stimulating effect on the contractile function of the uterus. Data from experimental studies conducted on rats show that IV KER contributed to an increase in the mass of uterine tissue (both immediately after the removal of the organ and after its drying), which is the result of an increase in the level of estrogen in the body. In ovariectomized rats that received the drug, such an increase in the mass of uterine tissue was not observed.
The IV KER drug regulates the menstrual cycle. A favorable effect of IV KER in oligomenorrhea is noted. Its stimulating effect on the secretion of ovarian hormones promotes the regeneration of the endometrium, reducing abnormal uterine bleeding. The drug exhibits anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic activity, therefore it is effective in inflammatory diseases of the female genital organs, helps to reduce pain sensations. By increasing the level of hemoglobin in the blood, the IV KER drug has a beneficial effect on anemia and general weakness caused by menstrual cycle disorders. Reduces manifestations of premenstrual syndrome (emotional lability, irritability). Reduces the pathological manifestations of menopause.
The drug has an anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic effect, as well as an immunomodulating effect, reduces pain.
Under the influence of the drug, the hemoglobin content in the blood increases.
Indications for the use of the IV KER drug: premenstrual syndrome, painful menstruation (dysmenorrhea), prolonged and excessive bleeding (menorrhagia), uterine bleeding with irregular intermittently (metrorrhagia), short menstruation (oligomenorrhea).
USE: inside adult women 1-2 capsules 2 times a day. Duration of reception - 3 months. Contraindications: increased sensitivity to the components of the drug. The drug is not prescribed to children and men. The period of pregnancy and breastfeeding.
SIDE EFFECTS: allergic reactions may occur.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: the drug does not contain alcohol, narcotic substances and does not reduce the concentration of attention, therefore it does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and potentially dangerous mechanisms.
In the case of intense dysmenorrhea or dysfunctional uterine bleeding that is not amenable to treatment, clarification is necessary diagnosis.
